About us
The venerable rangaumarkt is embedded in a gentle hill scenery of the "mittelfränkisches Becken" (central Frankish washbasin).
We are glad to be allowed to welcome you in Rosstal. Rosstal remained spared during the second world war and it was for many refugees a place of refuge. So also for the innkeeper's married couple Josef and Margarete Gellen with her both children. Already in 1949 they leased the restaurant "Zum grünen Baum", our today's guest house. In 1952 the "Kapplbauer" sold of his property to my parents. During the following 25 years our inn has grown up into the today's "Kapellenhof".
In the more than 1000-year-old franc market are a whole row of historical constructions, thus, e.g.:
- Big hall church Saint Laurentius with crypt and former high-level ditch the Holy Irmingard with “Ziboriumbasen”.
- Alemannisches parsonage in the half-timbered style
- marketplace with half-timbered houses in the architectural style of 1800.
- old well houses on the marketplace and the parsonage building
- castle of the markgräflichen knightly official men (private property)
- Rosstal´s judge's house
- Museumshof (museum) with native collection with more than 1000 years Rosstaler talers of history
In the next surroundings a rider and pony court, two experience baths, as well as the “Playmobil fun park”.
Rosstal is about 15 km to the west of Nuremberg near the federal highway 14. Lying at the railway line Nuremberg - Stuttgart, it is bound very well to the metropolitan area Nuremberg - Fürth.
